mentalimages/mentalray folder

Hi artists,

I'm André and today i was working on my first model and try to render it with SSSfastSkin material and i noticed with SSS i cant render several elements like shadow, specular. Make some search and find the "skinplus.mi" in Zap's blog but my problem is, i can't put the file where it indicates because my "mentalimages" folder does not exist, i speak with an friend of mine that have 3D Max 2013 too but not ever her have the folder.

I wanna know if the folder does not really exist or is somewhere else.

this is the directory that Zap's say to put the file:
c:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max ????\mentalimages\shaders_autoload\mentalray\inclu de\

I have installed 3D Max 2013 64bit so my directory is on
c:\Programas\Autodesk\3ds Max 2013


Hope some one can help me, or if anyone knows any other way to render those elements i'm glad to know how

This is the new location you need to use:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2013\NVIDIA\shaders_autoload\mentalray\include

Thanks, i have already put it there and try to render the other elements but still black renders, on shadow and specular :( any guess?

i'm using normal render elements, not mr A&D

It won't come up in the normal elements, even with this phenomenon. With it you need to use mr Named Elements and use the labels/names provided in the last rollout of the Skin++ phenomenon.

I'm a bit new on 3D max so i don't get what you mean with "phenomenon"

Here i'm showing some render test i made to you see what my problem is.
I use the spheres, one with SSS fast skin+ (mi) from Zap's, the second sphere with Arc&Design Material and the last, an standard material. And the floor don't have default material
Render elements
Materials
Lights



I don't know why my shadow render appear black and the specular on the SSS fast skin+ don't show any thing.
You talk about Skin+ phenomenon but i can't find that "material" or what it is
