Missaligned gizmo in subobject mode

Hi. I'm trying to move an edge loop. Unfortunately, once selected - gizmo seems to be missaligned (not in the center of selection and not aligned with a surface on which the loop resides).

Also what is weird - when selecting a loop manualy - edges one by one - gizmo seems to behave as expected (being positioned and aligned properly) until I select the last edge. Then gizmo behaves as shown on the first screenshot.

Anyone knows why this happens?

Regards,
Topt

Yeah it's because local is relative to the vertices in the selection and they're all different. Sometimes it's be aligned to the axis of that object, but it's not guaranteed. If the object is rotated at the object level, then you can use Parent space rather than local. If the geometry is rotated at the sub object level then it's more complicated. You could create an object aligned to the axis you want to move the loop in with autogrid and use Pick. Or you could use the working pivot, but I'm not sure how you'd align it.

But in this case you can turn on the EDGE constraint in the Edit Geometry rollout of the command panel and just drag the loop up and down. It'll constrain to the edges it's on. Remember you tuerned it on though as it's confusing if you try and move something else.

Or you might be better off using SwiftLoop which will add a new loop exactly where you click.
