Limbs Stuck?

I'm animating a very cartoony crab and I've always animated the limbs first in place and them moved the body afterwards in all the animations I've done, but I just downloaded Max 2013 and when I try to do this, the legs act as if there is a rubber band tethering them to the place where I animated them. Does this have anything to do with the new software version? Is there any way to rectify this or will I have to do this the hard way (move body, move legs, move body, move legs, etc.)? I have to have this animation done by tonight so this is a major crunch. Thanks for any advice!

Not the software, it is the rig and the way it is set up with IK solvers on the legs.

any idea on what settings to change? I didn't create this rig so I'm not sure where to start.

I would think that the controls for the legs are not linked to what ever you are moving.
