Symetry problem on exported object

Hi guys, i'm Portuguese so i will try to explain the best i can my problem.
I work most of the time on zbrush but sometimes i have the need to adjust some issues on the objects and make them symmetrical. but always e try to use the symmetry modifier he corrupt my poly.

This is the preferences i use to import the objects:

One of my objects:

and my problem:

P.S.: i have other issue, when i try to zoom in one point or edge somehow it cut my object, make me not able to zoom enough.

like this:

Hope someone can help me

I'm guessing most of the issues you're running into are because your object is very very small.

When you zoom in that close to a small object, that hole you're seeing in it is the camera view plane clipping into it. Try using an orthographic viewport if you have to get that close to objects that small. Hit "U".

My guess is you're getting the same size problem with your symmetry modifier. Check your weld seam threshold. Try lowering it quite a bit and see if that fixes it.

Thanks i never try rise the scale because of the zbrush, but i will try it...

And i notice now that when i start with some new poly created on 3D max the zoom do not give me any problem...

Thanks very much

You shouldn't have to rescale it if you don't have to, just lower that threshold until you get clean geometry and your seam is welded!

Yeah it's simply very small. That's normal for objects imported from Zbrush.

If you check the system unit scale you will probably find it's set to inches (it says 25.4 cms as the grid size which is a bad sign that it's actually in inches it would be 1 or 10cms if it was cms) and you can't see one grid square so it's much smaller than 25.4 cms. And the weld tolerance is set to 0.254cm tolerance so it's basically welding too much.

If your system units and disaply units were both in cms you'd have a better idea of how big that object is. If you open the prioperties for the object it'll show how big it is.

But if you don't want to change it, then just add another 0 or two to the tolerance so it's more like 0.054cms

So, if i change my grid size and the unit size for every time it open 3D max it will change my tolerence on symmetry too?
