@lionhart: I have installed the shaders in 3dsmax Design 2012.
Extracted the appropriate .dll to ... C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max Design 2012\mentalimages\shaders_autoload\mentalray\shade rs
Extracted both the .mi and .h files from the package to ... C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max Design 2012\mentalimages\shaders_autoload\mentalray\inclu de
As you can notice there is no NVIDIA in the paths.
Also did some test renders using hot chip/ Thorsten’s .mi shaders like car paint and architectural. I had a problem with mental camera shader output (hot pixels) so I set it to none.
This all sounds good…but when scrolling down through either the compact or slate material thumbnail previews and as soon as it reached the thumb preview for mila adapter… 3dsmax Design 2012 crashed hard due to reasons unknown. Working on trying to figure it/this out…
