Vray dome light + HDRI
Hi there,
I'm tying to light my exterior scen using vray domelight, with a HDRI image in the texture slot. My problem is that the image is not visible. I can see the domelight, it"s bright white or grey depending what kind of exposure setting I use, but the texture itself ist not visible. If I put the same vrayhdri map into the Environment slot, it"s nice an clear visible - but in this case i don't get sharp shadows. Vray exposure is turned on, I tried the all the multipliers in the hdri map - the rendered image got brighter, but the map still not visible... I've tried different maps, it'always the same... the domelight is visible, but the texture not. Using max2012, and vray 2.2. Any ideas? Thanks for any help. |

After applying the texture to the dome, drag and drop the same HDRI from dome to material editor, then in co-ordinates window in the did u change the texture to spherical environment from screen? Without it it wont be seen.

Yes, i did that.
But meanwhile i found a solution, i set the hdri's global multiplier to 0,05, now it's visible. This way it doesn't emit too much light, so i'll use two maps, one for the lighting, and one for the background... |
