3dsmax - export animation to another max file

Hey guys, i hope someone can help me with a little issue im having right now.
I'm trying to export an animation from a file into another, which has the same mesh but different animation.

What i would like to achieve is, having all the animations in the same file.
for example to have idle[1-10], jump[11-20]

I have used the save animation feature but once i load the animation on the main max file it gets some glitches on the transition between animations.

I should be able to make a stepped transition but i cant seem to get it working, it doesnt change the curve when i apply step curve.

I would be thankfull if someone could give me a hand on this.

Thanks in advance

I've had very little luck with the max animation format. You may be better exporting all of your animations to seperate fbx'es then importing them into a clean max scene

I see, but are you saying exporting just the animations?
if so, how can i load them in the main max file.

because the purpose of this is to have a single mesh with all the animations wired to it.

i didnt know that was possible, going to try it now.

Merge animated model#1 into #2, create list controllers for all relevant transformations of #2, copy/paste the animated controllers from #1 into the new slot(s) of #2.
