utilizing more then one graphics card

Hey everybody,

I'm thinking about buying a new workstation and I was wondering if 3ds Max would be able to utilize more then one graphics card?

I know Autodesk praises Nvidia Quadro cards, but it seems that you can get much better value for your money by going with GTX series and putting few of them cards together.

But is it going to be accessed and used by 3ds max and lets say Vray RT?

Yes for VrayRT, no for 3ds max viewport.

Unless you can afford the most expensive Quadro cards they aren't worth getting. Take for instance the Quadro 4000 which only has 2GB of memory and you can get a GTX 580 which is more powerful and has 3GB of memory for less than half the cost.
