Import obj From Poser (Victoria 4)

Hi everybody,
i save a poser scene, Victoria 4 with textures and some morphs apply, as an obj file, export all except the ground.
I import it to 3ds max 2013, i convert Victoria to a editable poly so she is a single object however she is made by many differents elements, can you tell me please how can i connect all these elements in order to get a single mesh made by a single element? Commands such connect, weld vertex, etc, dont work

Thanks a lot!

Choose one of the objects, then click "attach", press "H" on keyboard, choose all other objects, "OK" it's time for welding etc.

what you suggested is the procedure that i did, the proper way that allow to attach elements that belong to a single object, with Victoria 4 it dont work, this is the reason why i ask question about.
I export Victoria as obj with some morphs, everything is import in Max correctly however the above mentioned procedure dont work, attach elements as you suggested then select vertex, select "weld vertex" command, the button dont turn blue color,
sorry about my poor written english, hope i can make you understand,
thanks again!
