I think you can change the .mxp to autobackup to your local drive, which is what we do. Autobackup'ing multi-gig files at the same time does kill the network.

sorry, but in above I said "but some folder are local. for example we place autoback in drive d" it meant I set autoback in local drive

If you use something like State Sets to submit jobs you could write a script to repath assets to network before submission, and then back to local relative after submission.

we use LPM since its open source, you are right eric before I submit to netrender I can merge all xref and convert all asset path to UNC in temp max file and send it to net render
