Issue Installing Vray for 3DS Max 2013 from Chaos Group

I recently purchased Vray for 3Ds Max 2013.

After visiting the Chaos Group website I downloaded the relevant Vray file.

Once installation had complete, for some reason 3Ds Max wouldnt open. I was faced with what seemed like an infinite number of pop up error messages saying either:

*Vray Plugins/...../ failed to initiate!
*Vrender2012.dlr is missing
*The procedure entry point ??0ParamBlockDesc2@@QEAA@FPEAD_JPEAVClassDesc2@@GZ Z could not be located in the dynamic link library ParamBlk2.dll.

Christ knows whats going on!

Ive spent nearly 12 hours trying to resolve this issue and I find by removing Vray altogether I can once again access my 3DsMax.

Has anyone else had this problem? More to the point, can anyone help solve this problem?!

'Legend' status for anyone who can!!

are you sure you downloaded and installed the right vray version for your version of max?

vrender2012.dlr is for max 2012

the version for max 2013 has a file vrender2013.dlr
