Backburner manager forgetting it's place on restart

Slight niggling problem with backburner installed along with 2013.

If a job is in progress when backburner is turned off (not crashing, but turned off, say, for a restart) it will forget it's progress through an animation .ie. what frame it is on.

It will remember what jobs have been started and finished, however.

Anyone seen this before? is there a temp cache I need to flush or anything?

To give you some emotional context, here is a video that captures how I feel about the situation.

Mall Man

The mall being closed represents Backburner Manager not remembering it's status, and the man represents me want Backburner Manager to work properly.

Hi Mallman!

Im having exact the same problem. Manager doesnt update the render progress after closing. After completing a job he remembers. Also changes from Queue-Monitor, like Suspend Job, are not remembered.

W H Y ?

I run everything as administrator and set write-protection .xml to disabled in windows prefereneces.

Did you find a solution?

Not been able to solve it myself.

I find the silence of the community deafening - it's like there's a conspiracy and only me and you aren't in on it :(

I've considered deadline - in fact I installed it in licence free mode and it didn't work immediately and I was in the middle of a large project and didn't have time to troubleshoot.

I'm about to obtain my third machine anyway and can't afford to spend the cash... however, Backburner has never done this to me before - and it seems like it should be fixable.

I've been seeing this too. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution.

Mmmh. I will give Deadline a try.
