Will people be forced into a suite if they didn't own it prior to 2013? So i get an additional array of tools that i will never touch or asked for? Not to mention that freelance artist are tighter on the budget then studios hence wouldn't buy. PFlow will loose all it’s remaining mojo. Nobody is gonna spend that much extra money for a toolset that was pretty much out of development for almost 4 years…….People who know my website, etc. might know that i hold up the torch for PFlow and Orbaz but it sure get's harder by the day. Very hard.

Will be able to buy Box 2/3 for the time being...

Shame it's not more definitive.

Oleg intends to continue to offering box2/3 to new users and current users with new versions of 3ds Max.

NOTHING is being removed. People have ALL the options they had yesterday. ECS users just get box2/3 for free.

Contact Oleg for your other options.

In addition to this, where Max has its strengths are the likes of Mir who use what's in the base version of Max to improve what they can do - now if these kind of features are restricted to Entertainment Suite versions, then you restrict the number of people who are going to develop it.

If Proboolean had been restricted to suite users, would it have been worth his efforts developing Rayfire?

Anyway I've said my piece.

Hi Ken,
You must be glad to be back from your sabatical with all this hoo-haa to deal with!

So, just to clarify, the SAP for 2013 for normal 3dsmax subscribers only includes the disc cache, which I think costed £50 a while back? Not exactly a good return for my subs is it?

Think I might join others in ending my subs and spend the money supporting 3rd party developers instead.

I have to say I'm glad my Subscription renewal isn't due until October.
This gives me a chance to see how all of this shakes out before re-subscribing.

If this extension issue stays the way it is now though, I won't be renewing.

We take all your concerns very seriously. Don't expect everything and you shouldn't be dissapointed. Since when has the max team ever let you down?

There two other choices: cebas TP or Houdini.
If you not a blind Pflow fan, than it's not hard to recognized that it stuck in past and on market there more serious competitors.
But of course all this subscription without don't knowing what updates in future - looks like buy pig in a poke.

In almost every case, those extensions have gone on to be further improved upon.

So you give most customers they don't need ? really brave....

May I asking what AD done in this SAP ? change "Orbaz" mark to "mParticles" ?

Aren't our subscription fee's a extremely valid reason to expect something?

I hope you guys turn this thing around, it will be better for everyone.

What I don't understand is why bother with the name changing? Why can't they just say "We've incorporated box#2 and box#3 into 3dsmax", which are known and respected products, rather than a product noone has ever heard of.

cos in other case this not look like "we maked something new"
Other question why renaming stretched so long after release 2013 and not be part of it.
