substance texture size doesn't work above 512

When I increase the substance map texture size from 512 to any value above, it starts to render the material as black. No texture at all. It wasn't like this before. Max also crashes after a while.

It wasn't used to behaving like this before with my old 512 kb vga card. Now there is a gtx 670 with 4 gb ram and substances don't render more than 512x512.

Any ideas?

Is this one of the texture provided with max or have you created it in Designer?

It was any of the included textures with substance. Something has happened at the time, and it was weird. Choices other than 512x512 were rendering black. It's OK now I have installed everything from scratch and problem is gone.

Thank you for the info.
