Can max do this?

Obviously the time echo aspect is a simple clone or snapshot through the animation (i would be approaching this using a mocaped biped). However im stuck on how to get the "slice" thin part that looks great. Any ideas?

I did think of using ghost trails and somehow mapping the slices into that, but i dont think that would work.

You can create a selection set of edges that will be used to create a shape at each step/frame.

for t = animationrange.start to animationrange.end do
(
 slidertime = t
 polyop.createShape $ (polyop.getEdgeSelection $)

)

Funnily enough, that's how max's current splash screen is made, so it better can.

Thats a great solution, thanks. Lets hope my biped has a central edge loop!

thanks again.

I just love how simple the solution is to a problem that seemed so much more complicated.

Although I think I'd prefer the "for loop" to be something like this:

for t in 0f to 100f by 2f do

so you can change the interval between "Edge prints" and maybe have nested loops.
