The Last Cause :: Production Focus

Hey,

CGSociety video interviewed the writer/director of 'The Last Cause', a future-mech sci-fi film in 'proof of concept' stage. The artists working for him also came forward to say this project is definitely one to watch for.

Great to see some scene support for projects like this, but I think it would help loads if you show off some of those clip tests in full motion, because at the moment I'm wondering why you show the breakdowns and not the final clips? All the best with this.

I'm guessing they are just look tests or pipeline proof of concept tests. They probably don't have any of the shots finalized since they mention they are still in preproduction.

Thumbs up

Just saw on Facebook that they got a $10,000 donation to their kickstarter project by Maxon, makers of Cinema 4D.

Kudos to maxon for doing that. Pretty amazing for a public company of their status to sponsor an indie project. Wish we could see more of these in the future.
And good luck on the whole thing. Concept looks great.

wow...

Thank you so much, you guys are just awesome

Great to see how the CG community supports us with such great encouragement and energy.

You guys not only helped us with making pledges, but also offer volunteer work which is amazing - we got so many nice responses.

THANK YOU!!!

We just raised the minimum budget goal. This is just phenomenal - thanks to you. But still 6 days to go, so there's still time to get on board

Again, many thanks to all backers and supporters who makes this project reality
