Paul Hellard leaving CGSociety

Hi there,

Some of you may be aware that I am leaving the Editorís position at CGSociety and Ballistic Media at the end of this week, after nine years. While this is not my decision, the tough economic climate has made it necessary for Ballistic to reduce staff levels and my position will not be refilled. I am now on the hunt for freelance and ongoing work.

I am not leaving this wonderful community. I am more or less becoming part of the audience for a while. I take this opportunity to thank the huge number of artists with whom I have worked over these years, collecting work for the many Ballistic books. Also thank you to the many artists and industry representatives for their help for the thousands, (yes, thousands) of stories Iíve written for CGSociety. And thank you to the small staff at Ballistic who will continue to present the forums, the news and articles, the workshops, challenges, galleries and CGPortfolios that inform and entertain the CGSociety community.

For Editor and features writer, CGSociety; Global Artist Liaison, Ballistic Publishing. Freelance writer, media consultant & digital producer.
