Mari coming the Mac later this year
Hi,
Mari is coming to the Mac later this year targetting current generation machines and, of course, The New Mac Pro. ![]() Phil Schiller used Mari on Mac to highlight the new Mac pro during the WWDC keynote. More information here Sign up for the Mari on Mac Beta here I'm happy to answer any questions, but it might take me a while as I'm at WWDC at the moment and it's a bit hectic. Congratulations to the Mari team!
Jack, will Mari be using OGL4 or will it run on older versions of OSX too? __________________

Just went over the list of videos available from the last two days of the conference, no 'Painting the Future' video…
If Apple does not put this up, I would be really disappointed; I want to see the new Mac Pro in action! |

And in other news; anything you can share with information-hungry Mac users about the new Mac Pro…?!? I saw the hardware for the first time with everyone else two days ago. Performance wise, although it is still pre-release, it felt very balanced. It's difficult to describe, but no one part of it felt like a bottle neck. It feels like they designed with a level of performance in mind and every component is there to support that performance. I love the look of the thing. |

Sounds good…! A question I would love to ask the Apple folks, 'Is the second PCIe SSD pad on the other GPU card going to be populated?' More internal flash storage is a good thing, right…?!? Bummer though, as of 8AM Eastern the 'Painting the Future' presentation video is still not up…!!! /sadface |
