Dr George Miller is selling off his animation studio Dr D

Mad Max director Dr George Miller is selling off his animation studio Dr D, bringing to an end plans to develop an Australian rival to Peter Jackson's Wellington-based Weta.

I love how everybody's focusing on that silly "rival to Weta" old quote, or how everybody's oblivious to the giant arse ramming Omnilab took in that, as if Miller was the key person with a stake in the assets.

But yeah, stuff's been in a locked room for over a year depreciating and is now being sold for peanuts, with no warranty of whether it will work or not, including some racks that are legendary for how busted they got

I'm sure a lot of it is in good nick, but check for water damage, we had a couple floods there :P Those where the days.

Yup heard all about it and what a complete disaster it was.........Shame though as an ex pat Aussie it does not give any hope of bothering to come home to work in VFX.

The Graysons site as thoughtfully published the Dell kit's service tag as the service number - plug that tag in to the Dell support site (http://www.dell.com/support/home/au/en/aulca1) and it'll give you a pretty good idea of what it was actually configured with along with the warranty period.
