Wow, Freestyle is finally an official part of Blender! I wasn't sure if that would ever happen.

Some stuff looks nice here, but I'm more interested to see if they have fixed the stuff that was broken like the fluid particles.

philnolan3d, have you reported those bugs to the official bug tracker?

Not generally being a blender user I didn't even know this existed so thanks. Though something like particles not doing anything at all should be pretty obvious and it's not a new bug, to my knowledge they've never worked.

I am using fluid particles right now. What exactly doesn't work for you? Only thing thats missing from fluid particles right now is meshing for my basic purposes.

I just tested it. Nothing of it works.There are no particles, regardless of what the settings are set to. Like a year ago when I first tried blender fluids I could see them but they would either do nothing or explode all over. Since then something changed and they aren't there at all. A while back I asked Andrew Price the "Blender Guru" about it and he said as far as he knew they had never worked.

I don't understand. Never had any problems with fluid particles in Blender with the features advertised (its not Houdini SPH/Flip though).

Simple test case:

Impressive release as always. Working in blender feels just right. I was giving a try to vray's integration... much better than c4d! hair... anti aliased passes... even smoke rendering. beautiful. Freestyle addition is also very welcome, specially for arquitecture and manga / cartoon styles.

@philnolan3d
That sounds strange the best thing to do is post up a blendfile for someone to look at it. At the very least you should have particles by folloing these steps
1- have the default cube selected
2- goto particles tab and click the plus button
3- press alt+a

If that doen't work download a fresh build.

For the longest time, I thought the only ways to get a new copy of the latest version out of svn was to build it yourself or go to graphicall.org. But there is also http://builder.blender.org/ provided by the blender foundation.

Dang that new Cell-shading looks freaking great. I have to say this looks like a great addition.

Has this got Bmesh yet?

I am curious to see how the 3D printing tools work as I have been doing a lot of that lately. It would be great if there is an easy way to load a model and check it's thickness.
