RenderPal V2 2.8.0 released
Shoran Software is happy to announce the eigth point release of RenderPal V2, which brings quite a lot of new features and improvements:
The biggest and greatest new feature in this version is the new Net Job Details Tab, which supercedes (but still includes, of course) the old chunk list. The net job details tab contains six different panes that contain all kinds of information about a net job:
° Information pane: Shows general information about a net job
° Chunk list: A much faster version of the "old" net job chunk list
° Events and Output logs: Now it is much easier to access the logs of each chunk
° Previews: Contains a number of small previews of the rendered images of a net job
° Statistics: Shows some useful overall statistics of a net job
But that's not everything:
View filters have received a major overhaul in this release; the most notable change here is that multiple view filters can be active at the same time. Also new in this version is the ability for net jobs to react to ongoing errors by either pausing or cancelling the job, so that a faulty net job will no longer clog your render farm. Furthermore, we changed how clients react to unexpected disconnects: In previous versions, they always dropped their current jobs when they became disconnected. This behavior has now changed: If a connection drops unexpectedly, the clients will continue to render their jobs, and once the connection has been re-established, they will report their current status (including any finished jobs) back to the server.
This is, by far, not everything the new release has to offer, so be sure to check out our website for full details about this new release, screenshots, free trial downloads and more:
