Ok, I'll start. I'm shocked and saddened Brave won. I thought it was mediocre at best and enjoyed Paranorman almost twice as much. :\ Thankfully, Paperman won. Whew.

Gotta love how even in the VFX award... everyone get's thanked and when it comes time to thank the artists they cut them off.

Haha!

I'm also in shock how Brave won over fantastic Paranorman and amazing Pirates, also very rude behavior over R&H crew, complete fail.

Sad moment when the orchestra cut off the "Life of Pi" guys trying to give a shout-out to struggling R&H. #vfx #Oscars

Everything about the VFX presentation came off as incredibly disrespectable, and just downright dismissive. Lots of angry tweets flying around...

Agreed about the VFX Life of Pie guys being cut off. Christopher Waltz got 1:30 before the music played and they got :51 seconds. hmmm They just knew they were going to trash the movie industry to the world. The 'man' with the money still in control.

What was up with Robert Downey and Sam Jackson arguing before the award was presented about giving them respect? I actually couldn't tell if it was staged, I kind of assume it was. If it was a joke, maybe not the best time to belittle vfx? Lets see ironman fly without vfx? Though Downey does a great job with that role...so, I hope he was genuine.

Agreed. The silly jokes introducing the award was a very bad taste. I would think they are not aware of the VFX industry at this point and probably didn't care that much.

he tried and like Sean Fine said with his award.. "support your artists.. they're hurting out there." (or something like that).

Loving Seth McFarlane as host. He's actually making this entertaining to watch. Ok, some jokes have fallen flat, but boy he's pushing the envelope. Loved the Shatner exchange too. And his quote of the night (which I'll get somewhat wrong at the moment): 'The biggest year in movie profits and popularity to date and movie companies looking for every reason to convince us they are all broke.' No fing doubt.

I'm outraged! I've watched the Oscars since I can remember and I've never been so infuriated and so utterly uninterested in the rest of the show.

I'm a bit sad too that the guys receiving the award didn't speak up at the very beginning, instead of doing the cliche 'I thank my family' gig.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that LIFE OF PI Oscar moment is the turning point for VFX artists/companies fighting back against the studios.

Who's going to be first to photoshop the 500 people at the VFX protest into a 1 million with Dinosaurs and Aliens backing them?

I have watched the Oscar's every year for as long as I can remember - I turned it off after what just happened, that was pretty bad.

If people truly want to change how things are going on in the industry, you can't find a better time than now...

Ted looking amazing! On a side note, is there still a chance Anne Hathaway and I can still end up together?

So did they create the tie to get Zero Dark Thirty an Oscar or Skyfall? haha

Edit: Husband! Nooooooooo!!
