very cool, is that Maya they have set up there? It looks a bit different.

Noticed the software too.
It's look a bit different than in this one here:

perhaps I'm not just seing the pretty colors. Or maybe they're setting them up, rather than animating them, in the shot's we see? Though I see a graph editor in there too.

Thanks for posting. Always great inspiration to see these vids.

Looks like marionette - Loving the AVARs on the fathers face.

Anyone know what storyboarding software there using at around 3.54? I'm guessing proprietary?

It looks like 2 programs, on the cintiq pretty sure its Photoshop, not sure whats on the other display.

You see Maya once in the video, while Mandrews is critiquing the modeling of the castle. The rest of the 3d is Marionette.

I'm pretty sure the second 2d program shown is their proprietary story-boarding tool. I can't remember its name, but it's a combined painting and video editing tool, to allow story artists to time out their shots.

Brave is a good story,Pixar always give us surprise.This is their first period piece as well as their first female protagonist.
