ncloth stretching and breaking issue

Unhappy ncloth stretching and breaking issue

I've rigged a dragon with ncloth wings for a university project using the method described in the below tutorial:

For those of you who don't want to watch it, the basic steps are extracting the mesh for the wing membranes, converting it to ncloth and then 'sewing' it back on using a component to component nConstraint.

I followed the tutorial exactly, however when trying to deform my mesh, for example making the wing spread, the ncloth breaks away from the wing bones and sort of falls beneath it slightly. I'm new to ncloth so it's probably only an attribute that needs to be changed, however I'm just not sure which one!

Any help would be much appreciated.
