Maya 2012 Rigging Tutorials

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any decent tutorials they could recommend. I'm fairly new to maya rigging and have version 2012. I'd like something that covers character rigging fairly in-depth. I know gnomon has this one:

http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/st...-The-Puppet-Rig

It looks as though it's an older version of maya though. Have there been many improvements in the last few releases related to rigging?

TIA

Hey Beha,

Well there hasnt been any updated version from gnomon but there are few more series you want to check out.

1. Animator Friendly Rigging - Cartoony Rigging - http://jasonschleifer.com/afr/

2. Fahrenheit Rigging - Realistic Rigging - http://www.fahrenheitdigital.com/dvds/rigging/

3. Art of Rigging - CG Toolkits - http://www.cgsociety.org/index.php/..._art_of_rigging

Goodluck!

Any money / time spent studying Jason's Animator Friendly Rigging series is a wise investment in my opinion. No matter what level you are, I'm sure they'll be hugely helpful...

Good luck
