Starsky & Clutch

A while back i got into making cute, cartoonised cars. I made a few and recently thought i'd bring them up to date, starting with this one.

The Ford Torino. I've been cleaning it up today but it's pretty old and i used to work very differently, so it's been a bumpy ride (excuse the pun).

This is where i'm upto..

Hi,

I always liked muscle cars and 70s crime series. Nice work on this one! Why did you exchange "Hutch" with "Clutch"?

It looks a bit candy flavoured. But cool. Keep on.

I thought about calling the thread "starsky and Kupplungszug", but thought clutch rhymed better..

I have made a couple more adjustments to this model and will post the results soon. Mainly just cleaning up the bumps in the bodywork etc.

I've already already started on my next one. I got the idea to make some of these cars after seeing one i did a few years ago for a 007 clip i made. I'll post that as well.

Well i've gotten stuck into these car now, i've made about 4 now, and still going.

This one i thought could still be posted here, it's only a wip but you can already see what i'm making..

So here's my next film related car-icature..

Kitt. I have a quicktime vr rendering now. I'll post it when it's finished.

So now i'm thinking what next? Any ideas?

I think the decission would be easy for me: The A-Team GMC van

well, on second thought it wouldn't be easy at all, because there are still...

...THE DeLorean!!!
...ECTO-1
...the Aston Martin DB5 (Goldfinger)
...Nash Bridges' 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda Convertible
...the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SE from Smokey and the Bandit
...Bullit's 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 Fastback
...Magnums 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS
...the 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray, well from Stingray

I think you must do them all ;-)

Great work on K.I.T.T. btw!

Maybe i will do them all, some great ideas you've posted there, i especially like the ghostbusters ride..

Sorry for the delay, i was on holiday, but now I'm back and here is my newest (i did it before i went away but forgot to post it).

I went for the dodge charger from Dukes of Hazard as i really wanted to do an old muscle car. I found so many variations on the original that it was hard to lock on to details (so anything anyone notices please mention it and I'll update it).

I'll have a 3d vr on-line soon..

On a different note i was approached by a company that wants to put my cars on t-shirts. That gave me an idea and i'll post more on that soon..

Some great stuff there, but i'm really gonna focus on the cars..

This is my next one, Herbie and the long lasting vw beetle.

I'm putting a website together to host these cars. I've been making more normal cars as well. I'm still perfecting the lighting and backdrop studio as well as exactly how cartooned i should take my cars?! All advice is welcome..

When it's a little more together i'll post a link to the site..

I think might be a good one to add to the list
Ferrari Testarossa: Miami Vice
