Motext + Physical=big problems

I'm trying to make a simple springy text word popup using Motext plus an animated plain effector scaling the letters up and the delay effector to add some spring. Looks great in the editor and the standard renderer but when I try to use the Physical renderer for motion blur it's all jacked up. The letter start fully scaled and jumbled together and then pop down to 0 and scale up as the plain effector goes across them. Anyone else experience this?

I should add that everything is mograph cached as well.

Try baking the text as PLA. Plamate from tcastudios is a free plugin and one click solution.
