Question Can't apply a displacement map correctly

I try to put a logo on a front rounded surface of a steam locomotive. First I've made it by extruding AI spline, but it doesn't look correct. I need an effect of letters being a part of a locomotive's surface, so the surface of letters must have a soft rounded transition to a surface of a locomotive. So instead of extrusion I've tried to put logo to a displacemet map of a material applied to my rounded surface. But it looks really strange and tweaking of the displacement map parameters didn't help. Please see an attach.

you need more sub-division.

Thumbs up Fixed

Thank you Dataflow! I've increased the subdivision number of the spline inside my lathe object and it became OK. Also I've blurred my texture which made the edges of displced text round.
