New handrail plugin (Release)

Hi all,

I would like to introduce you this brand new Handrail plugin coming soon for our beloved C4D, itīs amazingly simple to setup, just add a spline to the plugin object and play with the parameters.
The plugin comes with built in basic shapes like round and rectangle parts, but if you need more refinement you can add your own custom objects

As betatester I have been using it in production already, but we just need to fine tune it a little in order to release it soon.

Here you can check the website: http://arkos.earthcontrol.de/

Cheers,
Juan

Looks very promising Juan. It would be great to know more about the workflow how you put a handrail in the model, and if it is possible to modify it later...

Looks great. Are there plans to develop a stair generator as well?

Thank you andras
We are putting a video together where you can see a little about the workflow, but itīs pretty simple, you draw your spline (path) and you add this spline as a child to the handrail plugin object and thatīs it.
The plugin is fully parametric so you can change the parameters at anytime if needed.

Is this like the old QuickPipe plugin?

Sounds good if so.

Hi all,

Happy to announce that a Mac version is now available

Changelog:
- Alternating for single rail elements to create "hatched" rails structures.
- Added options for applying random textures to different parts of the handrail (by using alpha mapped textures you can add details to the base texture)
- Menu structure changed (Unregularity moved to new Randomization-tab)

Have fun and share your creations.

Cheers,
Juan

Looks like a really useful plugin, C4Ds answer to rail clone for Max!

Do you know what the proceedure is for updates and potential release date of the new version? I will probably buy it, but, as its not urgent for me I wouldnt want to buy it just before the new version is released and have to pay an upgrade.

Looking forward to seeing some more examples - particularly of curved stairs.

saving presets ???

This is an excellent plugin. I just bought it and used it in a project. One thing I miss is the ability to save presets or a library where you can have different settings.

There are no upgrade fees will be free for the current customers
Release date, sorry not yet, is still under development and I can tell you that is not the only feature that will be available

Cheers,
Juan
