Sounds nice, count me in :-)
That reminds me to remind maxon to add a option for a simple zip compression in their c4d files, like max has ;-) |

Got some results back from an independent tester (Holger)
test scene 660MB standard 229MB Crushed Team render : Render a Still Frame standard 4:46 Team render : Render a StillFrame Crushed 2:25 3 clients standard 2:27 crushed 1:11 30 Frames: standard 13:40 crushed 11:47 In particular, TR can benifit greatly from this process, especially if your doing stills. In many cases, a crushed scene will have transfered and finished rendering on a client, before an uncrushed scene has even started. for multiple GB scenes, the savings are much greater as Network transfer is now your worst enemy. regards Paul Last edited by tapaul : 11 November 2013 at 12:39 PM. |

Yes, I can confirm that for Still-Renderings this can be a very big Timedifference. I also found very good Viewport-Performance with a crunched LOD-Display of a QUarter.

Impressive results gotta say makes me a little disappointed that axon hasn't been handling their data more effectively especially with team render.
Plugin definitely hast interest if I was doing c4d work __________________
