Dynamic party streamers ??

Hi everybody,
For a project, i have to simulate a cannon of party streamers.. From a emitter ( TP, TP Mograph, X-Particles.. whatever ) then after a launch period, they fall on the ground quietly with the gravity..

I tried various approaches but these are not convincing :-(

Any idea ??

This is my poor attempt, maybe you can refine it a little.

I tried to simulate the falling of the complete stripe, not just the forwarding. Well, tried..

Now, I've got figure how to clear the streamers in a convenient way on the ground.. I would like too add too a more floating/dynamic fall for the end of the spline.. Anyway I have something to play with it and a nice approach for my project.. Thanks again NiklasR
