Thanks for the clarification.
If one were to purchase even more high res data of an area, is there a way to have the plugin use that data instead ? (Lets say 5m, if it exists). __________________

The best way to get something added or changed, very quickly, is to visit my site and just make a feature request ticket or put it up on uservoice. But nobody does. |

Yes, I'm talking about DEM data.
Thanks for the info, at the moment it's just an idea but that's good to know. __________________

update
DEM Earth has been updated to version 1.24
fixes a bug stopping external renders, which crept into 1.22. So it is important that you update to this one. regards Paul |

Thanks Chris, I actually didn't see the button... :-)

You misunderstood my question Paul. I just couldn't see the button. :-) |

re-shuffle
After much deliberation , I have decided to simplify the DEM Earth package, by adding full access to the 30m DEM data, immediatly, for all accounts. With this generous move, I hope to make the package easier for potential buyers to understand. You now get everything in one easy to understand plugin, with no strings attached and no more binding subscription or addon options to pay for.
DEM Earth now includes the following: DEM Earth Generator - The main realtime landscape generator.PinPoint Object - Used for placing any 3D object on DEM Earth landscape with ability to dynamically scale and move with the landscape. Way Object - Generates 'object to object' splines, on the landscape to help you visualize connections. GeoReference Tag - Easily match images to the landscape in realtime using this very powerful image control tag GPX Importer - Drag and drop gpx files into C4D and DEM Earth will create a scene for you with your track overlayed on it. World File Import- drag and drop industry standard geographic World files into C4D and DEM Earth will create the landscape for you and overlay your image automatically. One Year Support - Includes one years support and gives you full access to the following features during the support period. Free updates - Get all new updates and features free. Image Downloader - Easily capture and georeference web-based images from a multitude of open sources. High Res 30m DEM server access - Access to 30m high res DEM data, for more detail in your terrain (where available). I look forward to answering any questions you might have. Wow, that is awesome news; this is such an insanely useful plugin. Anything we have to do to activate the 30m data? I've been looking around this morning, various locations US/UK - and all the .hgt files are filling up in the 90m folder. Cheers, and thanks again - Chris |

Wow! This is great news. This plugin just keeps getting better and better.
Is there a way to tell from the DEM Earth Object which level of data detail it is (30m or 90m)? It would be nice to have a display field or radio buttons designating the detail level. |
