This is the only thing about R15 thats got me contemplating buying the upgrade..

It would be nice to see some Embree vs Vray comparisons in terms of speed and quality.

you mean with the standard vray or using vrayembree implementation ?

I completely beg to differ! S&T is single-threaded and a complete dog when working with complex scenes/geo. (And don't get me started on animating S&T!)
