Thanks for all the videos guys!

Does anyone know if there are:

- any changes/improvements with the boole tool?

- any viewport performance boost in large scenes (lot's of objects)?

Numerous deformes are now multithreaded, this should speed up a lot of scenes.

Yes, there are various performance improvements under the hood and are those will propagate throughout the application. For example, Fracture object is now roughly 300% faster which I show in feature video

Maybe it would be good to sum things up and say that rendering is completely revamped and performance is way better. For example, in feature video there are few scenes where power of Embree+IC 2.0 + Light mapping is demonstrated in really high resolutions. Ao, as stated earlier can be cached now. SPD, blurred reflections and SSS (even with smallest path length) render much faster. Hair can be cached also and renders much faster with XMB now.

Aside to "headline" features, there are a lot of other improvements. For example, FBX import/export is greatly improved.

Cheers

No and no unfortunately. OGL display has been improved though.

Does this include the morph tag?

Is the displacer deformer multithreaded (faster)?

(EDIT) while Im at it, how about the jiggle deformer?

Morph tag isn't a deformer

Glen and his insanely detailed models.
Stop showing them please. You're making the rest of us look bad

Practically all deformers benefit from this, mileage does vary though since different deformers have different bottlenecks
