how do I project text to a sphere?

It has been ages since I've done any projecting of anything. I need to project a B onto a sphere, would it be best to use MoText for this or plain text?

I did search for this because I thought it had been asked before but nothing came up from the search.

What do you mean by 'project'. Do we talk about a simple texture or do you want to 'project' geometry on a sphere?

the letter needs to be wrapped around a sphere, kinda projecting off of it.

I know way back it was called project object, found in structure, thats how long it has been since I've done this.

Hi unclebob,

the wrap deformer is the proper tool to do the job. Make sure that the letter mesh is equal subdivided.

Depends what you want to do but this is a handy preset from C4D tools; http://c4dtools.net/textsphere/
