3D Cartoon Leaf - tips?

Hi guys,

I have a bit of a weird request. My girlfriend is ill in hospital and I want to cheer her up in part by creating a gold 3D render of this leaf:

My modelling skills are still quite basic but I'm learning well, so I was just wondering if you guys could give me some tips on how you would go about creating this simple model?

Do I create it in vector first and import then extrude that? Or can I create it directly in C4D with some creative use of the standard shapes or splines?

Thanks guys.

You can just trace the leaf shape by drawing a spline- then extrude it- use poly selections to apply the different textures to each section. Make the stem from a modified primitive object. The eyes can just be scaled capsule primitives. Throw a bend deformer in the whole thing to get a little bend to it. Hope that helps.

Thanks again for the tips Ryonosuke - I did as you suggested and managed it. Still have to add the eyes but it's looking good so far!
