Well rest assured that the goal is to have krakatoa for c4ds particle display work independently from TP so this bottleneck as well as singlethreaded python calculations won't be an issue.

You can actually breathe, inhale and exhale already since few weeks ago when Thinkbox mentioned the existing Cinema 4D bridge ;D

I would be thrilled to be corrected! And no intention of stepping on anyone's toes here

I contacted Thinkbox about a demo a few weeks back when the C4D bridge was mentioned online and got someone telling me that development had stalled out for C4D at the time. If it's back on, I'll be the first to eat crow here publicly. With Turbulence FD, Dpit, and X-Particles upgrades imminent, Krakatoa sure would be the cherry on top!

Thinkbox was right, there was a break in the development for several reasons, one being based on the python version being back then. The rewrite to match the API is in the works, and will surely support X-Particles 2 (if Mike wants and TFD (if Jawset nods.
