Size of Texture Tags
So, I just found out that the size parameters in texture tags are double than what they should be.
For example: If you create a 100x100x100 cm cube and put a cubemapped texture tag with 100x100x100 cm on it, I expect that it exactly fills the cube. But it doesn't. If you look at it in texture editing mode, it is clear that the box is double the size than it should be. So if you half it, it's correct: Screenshot Sooo... is this the correct behaviour? If yes, why? I think that the parameter should be called something different if it behaves differently than other parameters with the same name. Cheers! |

Youre not going mad, this is one of c4d's quirks. The texture axis size, assuming the UV scale is 100%, is always half the actual size.

Yep - that's just how it is. It's been bugging me for years...
I wish you hadn't raised it. I think I'll have to go and take a tablet and lie down in a darkened room... |

Have a go with texiDRIVER, via my sign.
Covers much of most texture work. Cheers Lennart __________________
