Reflection Occlusion

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if there's a way to build a reflection occlusion pass like one shown here - http://zj.deathfall.com/reflocc.htm (not to be confused with ambient occlusion).

I think Mental Ray and Render Man both have this feature but I haven't seen anyone talking about it in C4D forums.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

If you use an environment channel in a material for the fake reflection, it automatically occludes the geometry anyway, objects can both reflect and use environments, so you might find the pass isnt needed in the first place.
