smoke rings?

Is there a way to make smoke rings like this in C4d?

TFD or Dpit can do this, but I'm not sure if pyrocluster can do this or not.

the smoke ring is doable with pyrocluster and a donut primitive + deformer

The final dissolve is more complicated

Just an idea, but if you want to do it completely in C4D you could use thinking particles with the matrix object and pyrocluster. Firstly the particles could be cloned on a ring object, which is moving in this wobbly way and then you can loose the particles from the object and use all the xpresso nodes for making them "flying" away. I think it is a lot of testing out to get the right look.

One asked how to do it in Cinema 4D
not an external application that
you list.

It´s possible to do also with transparent texture and
animated noise shader in displacer
modifier.
See my quick tip
