Turning off object selection highlighting?

When you select an object there's an orange ring that highlights the whole object in the viewport. Is there any way to turn this annoying feature off?

I've looked everywhere for it, but can't find it - It's not the "Object Highlighting" filter, it just happens when you select an object in the Objects panel.

YouŽll find it under view settings - outline.

The only thing in View Settings I see is "Highlight Outline Width", which can only go down to 1. I can't set it to 0, or turn it off.

EDIT: OK, so I created an expression which pipes the Highlight Outline Width to an absolute value of 0 and back out again. Is there a checkbox or something I missed? Kinda crazy if this is how you're supposed to turn off this feature.
