Video Screen Capture (for plugin tuts)

While this is a bit off-topic, it is related to Cinema 4D, plugins, and creating video tutorials. I am trying to find a Windows 7 (64-bit Ultimate) video screen capture software. Cannot currently afford Camtasia Studio so are there any alternatives that are not riddled with adware and such?

I was just trying to find a good solution here as well. The best solution I've found is BB Flashback Express, saving the file as an avi using lagarith codec, then doing any editing and compression with a separate video/audio editor. Another cheap option would be VideoStudio Pro X5. It won't get you as high of quality as the BB Flashback solution, but you may find it a little easier.

not sure if this somehow fits your needs, but for me it always has been enough

it is free, but does not come with any fancy codecs.

BB Flashback Standard user here. The Standard version is useful if you want to annotate your captures and add interactive buttons on playback (for example, a "continue" button).

You can always use the Express version and annotate in a different program (After Effects, Premiere) as well.

You could try Demo Builder Robert.

Nevermind, same price.

Hey, I didn't even know about it. QuickTime Pro on Windows does not have those options (and it's only v7.7.3). But it does have those options on my iBook.

If you have a mac (you mentioned an ibook) iShowU is inexpensive and offers a lot of options.
