Smile Newbie looking for advice

Hi all
as above, I am almost a total beginner with C4D and 3d in general. I have downloaded the Demo and enabled the Prime version. I have a background as a graphic artist and photographer/retoucher. I have been trying to complete C4D tutorials in order to get to know the tools and functionality, BUT i seem to suddenly run into a wall when the tutorial is using functions I either can't find or are not there in the demo i have enabled. Ive been trying this one..

things such as being able to edit the global illumination parameters ? also the MoGraph menu seems to just not be there.

I'm sure there is a simple explanation (go easy - im new!) if anyone has a decent set of tutorials they can guide me to that will give me a good progression (with no sudden missing functionality) I'd be really grateful. sometimes these seemingly simple tuts gloss over very small steps which are probably v obvious to the more experienced but to a new user a bit baffling.

cheers all and i look forward to spending much more time looking at all this great work on here

jonny

If you are using the demo to evaluate a Prime purchase - then you'll need to refer to the list here. To see which feature to have access to in Prime.

If you are just learning with the demo - activate the Studio

If you are looking for some really well paced tutorials

I believe there are some free ones or teasers on Vimeo
