Combining motion of parents

I have a camera exported from matchmove software and it deeply embeds the camera as a child of two nulls. So both nulls and the camera have keyframes.

How can I combine all the motion into my camera object?

Duplicate the camera, delete all keyframes on this new camera. Then make it a child of the world, PSR constrain it to the animated one and bake it's animation in the timeline. Then you can delete the constraint tag, the original camera and the nulls etc and you're left with a simple camera with world space animation on it.

Cheers,
Brian

Thanks for the advice. Can you clarify a bit when you say make the 2nd camera a "child of the world"?

Thumbs up

By that I mean just take it out of any hierarchy it's in, so that it has no parent (which means all of its coordinates are now in world space). Attached image to illustrate.

PS - the reason I suggested duplicating the animated camera rather than creating a new one was simply so that the focal length and other settings would be the same rather than having to match them manually.

Cheers,
Brian

Isolating the sentence does make it sound deeply philosophical though..!
