Is there a way or script to automatically move the texture tag to the end of multiple objects at once? Otherwise I need to do it manually 652 times...

if you group all your objects under a null and give the null the tag you want to copy, then you can right click on this tag and select "Copy Tag to Children". something i use alot. hope this helps. |

That is the thing, the children need a specific tag order, e g stacked textures with both their own uv map. I've tried copy tag to children but that always puts the last tag copied in front of the others.

You could try the Function>Apply command in the Material Manager's menu.
Select the all objects you want to apply the material to, then select the material(s), then hit Apply. It will place the material tag at the right-most side of the tag stack. If you have multiple materials selected while doing this, all those materials will be applied to each selected object, in the order they are arranged in the Material Manager. __________________

Tcastudios has a set of scripts called tag treater that does what you need, if I'm understanding you correctly.

Get selected tag.
Scan documents objects. Scan each objects tags. If tag found of selected type, do something. Well in reach for an evening with Python for anyone in need. The difference from before (using COFFEE i.e.) is that the web is flooded how to use the basics (and much more) of Python. (tagTREATER are in total 25 COFFEE plugins that would need a rewrite for R14 and will not happen, rather a Py version within the next ten years or so, or when I need it myself ![]() Cheers Lennart __________________

![]() Thanks I will give it a go. I've figured out a workaround but it's not optimal.
