I got that far. It's just getting it to resemble a structure on the developer site. Tried changing plugin parameters as well as noise parameters. After adding the plugin and say the default noise shader, then what params should change to create a more dense structure?

@[UP] : Not sure it is compatible with R12 :-(

@Jim-H : If you don't be afraid for a quick turn around with my bad and poor english, I can try..

Try to change the global scale of the noise for exemple.

Hi Aurety,

Thanks for the quick response.

Changing the noise global scale was the first thing I tried. I will give another go later. Away from my computer at the moment.

I don't see this 3D gradient either...

The normal gradient shader doesn't work in 3D with this plugin, so perhaps that's why there has to be another one...

But this plugin is fantastic!

I've found something strange. The global Widths are 200. If I set any two axis to 2000, the other axis can only go up to 239. 240 and it disappears. I'm thinking that this is not supposed to happen.

Just select the plugin from the plugins menu and add a noise shader to the Shader dropdown.

Anyway I've been messing about with the numbers and now if I set the Sampling/m view to 200 I can only, as an example put 2039,254, 239 in the Widths. Raise any of these numbers by one and poof it disappears. It's like there's been a limit set somewhere. Anyone else get this.

A quick test... FUN stuff

Only challenge will be learning how to get more of a regular thickness to the "strands". Using some voronoi here to get a more regular "hole" pattern, but there is still some pinching and very thin areas with jagged polys.

Very nice

Hey this is great.

JimZeppelin:
I think you can quickly run into the sampling max limit with larger volumes. Just set it higher and it seems to work. Keep it low for viewport.

I don't see the 3D gradient either. Whatever, it works great with the existing noise.

Going to donate.

Shows up for me in the plugin manager at my end, but can't be selected as a plugin to use.

Something I'm missing?

Oh noos… :-(
(can anyone confirm incompatibility?)

Not having a clue about Python/scripting/programming whatsoever, but
would it be complicated or otherwise to make it compatible with R12 or…?

Finishing up an orthopedic reconstruction animation that this would have been perfect for if it were a week sooner for the inner cancellous bone. Next one . If we get the OK on our bone regrowth project, I'll definitely run this through it's paces.

Thanks!
