Very nice update, Maxon!

New XPRESSO look is great, I am working at some xpressions just at this moment. Snapping & Sculpting look also fantatsic.
Can you guys give us any idea what will be in which package?

Hmmm, I don't know what to think with this release. Don't want to rain on the parade here, as I haven't tried R14, but initial impressions aren't really what I was hoping for. Namely a particle/xpresso system upgrade, Netrender update, new shading system and better polygon modelling tools. At least a new bevel tool was expected.

Ok, so the xpresso colour scheme has changed. I actually find that white on grey is less readable...admittedly it looks a bit "sexier", but less readable from looking at those screenshots. Are there any functional changes to epxresso?

For someone that already has Zbrush, 3DC and Modo the fact that sculpting is now included doesn't fill me with joy. It will be cool to have it built in , but nothing can compete with ZBrush. Have the sculpting changes rippled over to Bodypaint as well? I would be more interested if Bodypaint can now paint on a displaced mesh...couldn't see anything on the website about that?

The best thing for me are the render updates, looks good. Alemebic and Nuke interchange is also promising. Has the Fusion exporter also been updated?

Once the demo is available make sure to test out the new snapping etc. It makes a whole lot of difference when modelling.
Cheers

I like the smaller mini features. Like visualy seeing what value is controlled by xpresso or the new commander which will really speed up your workflow

Or like zooming to mouse cursor or H and S shortcuts in the XPresso editor.
Or like the "Distribute Knots" function in the Gradient GUI.

Or, as Glen mentioned, the Target Distance Picker in the Camera Object:
Target Distance Picker (MOV)
