i am very excited about this. can this shader be rendered as a multipass ? for example can you render the AO pass separately from your RGB pass. A thickness pass ? looking forward to seeing your SSS . . .

Not sure how your plugin works, but basically could I combine two different distance and smooth settings in one shader? sorta like a gradient showing dark short distance to light far distance?

Here's another example with TopoMaps utilizing the Volume Depth Mode in the Plugin:

The calculated Depth Map (took a blink of the eye):

Two differently colored glass materials where the Depth Map is in the Alpha Channel of the first one:

Made the transparent blue Material blurry, so it's only glossy where it's orange and the Mesh is dense:

Introduced some nice DOF:

(right click "open image in new window" for a 1280x720px preview)

wonderful paul. i have asked a few times ( sorry if you have answered and i have missed it ) but will the result be able to be rendered as multipass ? for example the thickness map ?
