And I love to play
Still things to tune thou, you can't hurry love…!

"Fish" animated via the Plain Effector Spline Animation (just discovered how it works),
no lights, color by velocity and a tad banking tested, then a "color hold" example
triggered by acceleration.

QT 4mb Lookie

Cheers

Very very awesome Lennart. Is it still a Python Effector or poured into a plugin? I think we have already a classic here! Is it possible to clone onto particles and have the same effect?

Old 07 July 2012   #21
Ow man, this is crazy clever. Instant classic indeed.
That "Color Hold / Memory" concept alone already has so much potential.

I copy yader's question : "Is this still a Python Effector ?"
There would be soo much to learn from how you set this up.

Looking forward to play around with this more and more with each Lookie you drop.

This is still done burning the Midnight Oil using a regular Py Effector.
I'll have to see what to do about it in the near future as I'm not sure
the fall offs might work better in a .pyp file.

Meanwhile should anyone else experiment in something similar,
the basic is in the mograph ColorArray, read and store the values,
set new values based on velocity, restore substracting over time.

Cheers

Thanks! Still some R&D as well as finding out how to use it.
Much of it is not "push a button" when it comes how
to transfer color from caches that are not built
the way I thought, I'm afraid…

PS I think I go for "velFX", short and to the point DS.
