Disable when not visible (Tag Plugin ?)

Hello everybody,

I have a heavy scene where I make visible complete seperate setups - now I would like to disable all deformers and generators in a not visible null (recursive) to speed up my performance on the visible things.

I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me, but did not sombody post such a thing a while ago as a tag plugin or script ?

If you were to want the ability to key the visibility of a top level hierarchy ( in time ), and then disable the child objects in the hierarchy ( based on vis state ), you could use some xpresso to iterate through the objects to disable them. Usually I personally only use this approach with first generation child objects, and they are always all objects that I know I can enable/disable. I'd be interested in an xpresso python node that reads through all the child hierarchy branches and disables all the objects that are able to be disabled.

I usually do the iterated enabled hierarchy when I want to enabled a set number of objects in a maximum number hierarchy based on an input integer. You could think of it as a cloner where you bump up the count, but when I can't/don't want to use cloners.
